Refund Policy for Tuition Fee Deposit
Overseas Students
Non-Refundable Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of £850 is included in the total course fee. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Post-Visa Payment: Once a student has been granted a visa, they are no longer eligible to request a refund of the tuition fee or deposit.
- Conditions for Deposit Payment:Students must ensure that they meet all conditions specified in the “Conditional Offer of Admission” before making any deposit payments to secure a place. Payment of the deposit signifies the student’s acceptance of the offer and serves as confirmation that they meet the required admission conditions. Documentary evidence confirming these conditions must be emailed to the college immediately upon payment.

Refund before receiving the admissions (visa) letter: If you are unable to provide the required evidence (e.g., prior academic qualifications, financial support documents) as specified in the Conditional Offer of Admission (COA), you must notify the college at least two weeks before the course start date. This notification will allow your admission to be deferred to the next available intake or will enable the initiation of a refund in accordance with section 7. Failure to notify the college within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
Refund Due to Visa Refusal: Students must request a refund immediately after receiving a visa refusal decision, provided they do not plan to appeal the decision. To request a refund, students must:
Refund Due to Withdrawal Before Visa Application:If you decide not to proceed with your visa application or course, you must notify the college by email at admissions@ukcm.org.uk at least two weeks before the course start date. Failure to notify the college within this period will result in forfeiture of your deposit. Depending on the timing, the college may either defer your admission to the next intake or process a refund according to section 7.
Refund Eligibility and Penalties: Students who qualify for a refund under section 4 or 6, and who have provided written notice at least two weeks before the course start date (as stated in the Conditional Offer of Admission), will receive a refund of their tuition fee deposit. However, a deduction of £600, plus the non-refundable £850 registration fee (totalling £1450), will apply.
Acknowledgement of Refund Requests: The college will acknowledge receipt of any refund requests via email, using the contact information provided by the student in their course application.
Effective Date of Refund Requests: The effective date of a refund request will be the date on which the college receives the written request.
Refund Processing Time: Once a refund request is approved and the student meets all the necessary criteria, the college’s Finance Department will process the refund within twenty working days. Additional time may be required if the college needs to verify any documentation related to the visa refusal.
Verification of Visa Refusal Documentation: The college reserves the right to verify visa refusal documents with the relevant authorities (e.g., the high commission, UKVI) before issuing any refund.
Refunds in Disciplinary Cases: Students who are expelled or suspended from the course for disciplinary reasons are not eligible for a refund of any fees or deposits.
Refund Recipient: Refunds will only be issued to the person or organization that made the original payment. If a third party made the payment on the student’s behalf, the refund will be issued to that third party and not the student.
Compliance with Money Laundering Regulations: In accordance with UK money laundering regulations, refunds can only be issued to the original account from which the payment was made.
Timing of Refunds: Refunds will be processed as promptly as possible. However, the timing of the refund may vary depending on the original method of payment.
Currency and Bank Charges: Refunds will be issued in GBP (£). Any bank charges or costs associated with currency conversion or international transactions will be the responsibility of the student or the refund recipient.
5.1 Email admissions@ukcm.org.uk to notify the college. 5.2 Submit a formal refund request letter, accompanied by proof of visa refusal and all original documents provided by the college, within ten working days of receiving the visa refusal. 5.3 Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the forfeiture of any refund.
